Cheers for the Heads Up Gt. I just had a look at Phils E-bay store and he doesn't seem to have them listed, I will send him a message tomorrow. Do you know what series Luv they were from.

Sorry to Hi Jack the thread

Original timing chain tensioner rubbers are still available from Isuzu Motors. We have some stock here in Finland. But they cost 35 euros each.

Happy and Great New Isuzuyear 2012!

i have some that cured really well but not tested as yet.

really prefer to trial one in my own motor first, have a 1500 sedan motor coming together at moment but daughter wedding has slowed up the engine build.

if your real keen, you can trial one, but dont want to see your engine have issues, not that i imagine it wont be as good or better then the original ones.

Has anyone used Hillman tensioner before?

i think i did fit one many years ago. they are about 116mm long and the original Bellett is 140mm. shape is exactly the same. can also get the metal spring to fit the Hillman size too.

only issue i can see is the tensioner may not do the job for as long as it wont give the chain quite the same area of load which would be ok when new, but as the chain stretches and wears, would get noisy sooner.

any and all thoughts will be considered as constructive :0

:) :) :)
