Sorry, not been at PC all day so missed some posts etc.

I will pass on the GT as much as i would like to have it. Too much work and no chance for Merimbula with it like that. PLus, having a hard time convincing my other half i need yet another project !
I have a 1930 Ford coupe Hotrod project on the go here over 10 years, that I MUST finish.

if the car goes for a reasonable price and

no point in counting eggs till the chickens hatch

would be interesting to see what they all go for.
If i had a few spare dollars i would have a go, but id be happy if it went to anyone in the bellett community!

Ok.....don't have many of the results yet...still waiting on some emails

My guy in NZ was bidding on three cars - 2 for me :P and....1 for a Bellett enthusiast....

It was quite an eventful day really. I was at Hanging Rock with very little f&%kin' phone reception. Anyway my buddy had max prices that he stuck to......The Bellett GT is apparently staying in NZ (and Christchurch from my understanding)....

Sold for $5100NZD which is about $3950 AU.

One of the Bellett 4 door sedan's went for $1,900NZD (about $1,480 AU)

If i find out more i'll let you know..

that's a surprise !

Must be interest there for Belletts also, unless it sold to another Aus bidder.

I bought 1 - another 1963 Prince Skyline Super S21D4 to add to the collection!! Baaargain!!!!!

There was a GC10 Nissan Skyline which was not listed on any of the auction lists which i was also going for, but missed out on that one!

Stoked with my buy though. The 1st generation Skylines never came to Australia, and there are fewer than 15 remaining in the world (known of) according to my Japanese club mates and the Nissan Heritage Colection (Zama). I bought my current one from NZ three years ago, and shipped it over - so i already own the only 1st gen Skyline (oldest Skyline) in Australia and now own two........7 Prince Skyline's & a KGC10 Skyline is probably enough, but it is an infectous diseases....the collection will no doubt continue to grow

If i can be of further help if anyone wants anything from Japan/NZ let me know!

Cheers

Jason

Wow! more interest in Bellett's than any of us would have guessed...
even a sedan going for 1800.

glad you scored on the skyline there P_S. and thanks again for all your help and assistance.

a late series 69 sedan would have been worth it but only if the buy price was under 500.

...and the Saab? The guy who posts the bloody link gets nothing???

Jason, can you dig up a decent KGC110 hardtop for me?

I think $4k for a ratty GT sounds fair.

A friend had looked at the GT and mentioned it had been badly creased around the roof where it was lifted with strops, and also had some structural rust. Very rare looking one with the headlight covers and whatnot though!

Another friend bought a 312 bluebird.

Very cool collection the guy had, but surely he could have preserved them a bit better!!

This really awesome website did an article on this collection.

http://www.garageofawesome.com.au/index.php/goa-rants/gleaned/112-gleaned-the-hoarder-of-rolleston

... in fact, this website is so awesome I think you should all sign up to their infrequent yet informative newsletters.

Cheers,
