yep. all GT's from Jan 68 build had the captive mounts fitted to the B pillar, but some were just covered over with the pillar trim/hood lining material.
my GT is a very early one with this, being Jan 68 build and I've seen late 67 build cars without it. one of Craig's is an example.
cheers.

PR91 wrote:yep, was an "Isuzu Sports Kit" option.
there was a heavy duty single or a 3 or 5 leaf option as part of each kit, but i think they could be bought separately too.
the stage 1 kit was HD single leaf.
stage 2 was 3 leaf.
and stage 3 was 5 leaf.
oh, and the HD single leaf was part # 51300-276 and cost 2,050 yen.
3 leaf # 51300-351 costing 3,300 yen
5 leaf # 51300-278 costing 3,560 yen.
there's some more useless info!!
This one appears to be a stage 3 ? Pic attached. Owner of this car says "leaf stage Ⅱ · Ⅲ stage"
Seems to have 5 leaves.

I think it's the price; 1 480 000 yen! But there are a lot of zeros there... and Belletts are narrow!

Today it works out to $14,693... which is not far (but more) than I paid for mine landed in Aus!! I think they put that price on it before they found the rust...

Just thought I'd throw up a the latest pics of the GTR.
Haven't done much to it since buying it except put the GTR-lookalike Sigma steel wheels on there.

Time for a quick update on the GTR....
Turns out it's got an engine issue.
Can't seem to work out what the problem is...it's got this whinging, whining noise and seems to be consuming Weet Bix and Matchbox cars at an alarming rate....

I can't see any problem there......
I reckon that little engine will rev it's head off if you put the right fuel in it

red cordial and twisties should do the trick

Dave mate,
The whinging whining noise may be reduced somewhat by adding a generous quantity of chocolate to the fuel supply, with a reduction of the weetbix portion.
I have previously discovered that the consumption of matchbox cars can cause problems with with the internal components, which may also be a cause of troubleing noises. The underbonnet components certainly appear in good condition, so should only require a little tweaking to provide the desired result.
Glad to help,
Matt.
