i'd rather have a car that handles well and gets driven maybe 6 times a year than worry about bushes that might wear out even twice as quick, coz with how little it's used they'll still last 20 years.
it's got all urethane bushes thru it anyway, are readily available and easy to change.
mind u, urethane has a tendancy to go brittle in over time anyway, so they'll have to be changed at some stage.
just not for another 15 years tho!

Just surmising what may have been the original intent of the front supports.
