Dave?
are there toll roads on the Bay to Birdwood run ?
if so, do you know if Victorian Eastlink etc devices work in SA for those driving into Adelaide and on the run?

We will most likely have a spare b2b entry if it is needed.

Glenn, In 2009 we did not have any toll ways on B to B.
I think the starting point is the same, I doubt very much there will be any Tollways.
If you are going to be there, do you want a passenger? I will be there and looking for a ride during the day, we will be staying at the Balair Caravan Park due to our dog travelling with us.
PM me if you wish, I caught up with Dave Carey briefly when passing through Adelaide and I will be back for B to B. We are in Mt. Gambier for about 4 days.

Dave I won't be in the Sport. Not the Bellett Sport anyway. We are traevlling over with my mother in law to see her relatives and the girls refuse to go in the Bellett !
We will be staying in the Glenelg area, near the beach. Where is the "Balair" ?
You are welcome to come with me to Birdwood though. I should also be attending the show and shine.

There's no toll roads anywhere in SA, so no stress.
Belair Caravan Park is in Belair National Park, Southern hills, about 15 minuted from the CBD...nice spot if the weather's good.
I won't be at any of the Nationals events, sadly unemployment has caught up with me, but I will be at the B2B. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Oh thanks mate! Well, I appreciate you asking, looking forward to catching up and putting faces (and Facebook profiles) to names...I'd love to kidnap a couple of you (Matt did ask) and take you on a guided tour of shed, but I think everyone should be suitably flat out with Nationals activities.

That toll gate would be the little brick building sitting in the middle, at the start of the freeway. All its windows are bricked up now and i guess we have kept it because we cant be bothered knocking it down!

and when you road your horse and cart down the Adelaide Road, the Toll Man would stop you and charge you for using the road.
Today is different
1) people would not stop
2) if they did there would be a great big traffic jammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
3) they just tax us with the fuel we use and dont spend it on roads anyway!!!
but the Tollgate House still stands as a reminder of the slower pace of life gone bye

Our local highway they lower the speed limit instead of repairing it last week they dropped a section to 80km. If you need a copper you will find at least 2 there.
It's the smart state they don't spend money on roads lower the speed limit and book the $hit out of anyone that moves. Much better for our premier making money and not spending an. This is why they got there $57000 a year pay rise. Last Monday I was in a truck for 9 hours and 5 radars that I seen

. It's ok to do what speed you like in the right lane on a 4 lane highway and turn left off a highway across 3 lanes of traffic as it is hard to enforce because someone might have to get out of the police car.
