Davo why would I say it was there if it wasn't ;) I said it's there so it finds a good owner :!: as it deserves to be on the road 8-) Anyone that really wants it and prepared to pay for it will find it. Its location of sale was broadcasted.

Wow, Norm from wagga,

I spoke via phone to him in the 90s to buy back the GT motor from my brother's crashed/rolled/wrecked GT from 1980ish.

Great guy.

And damn, I could have visited him on the way thru Cootamundra over Easter. Such is life :(

Can someone post a link please? I've looked everywhere over the last few days but zip.

And no, if I buy another GT in this millennia I'll be shoot at dawn for a month.

Oh yes!
I remember Norm Veering from Wagga Wagga.

He kindly helped me out with a Perspex emergency screen for my sedan back in 1983 ish at our first big interstate Bellett meeting there. I was almost at Wagga and was following believe it or not ..a Gemini ...not part of our meeting....when it threw up a stone and frazzled my windscreen. Those were the days ;) I'll post some photos of that weekend meeting when I get the album out.

So Dean, I guess you have collected a car for each of your boys now?

Cheers, Lewis

Yes they do want one, but no one wants to pay any more than $500 for one, they thinks it's still 1970. and as for 2 door Falcons . almost as rare as Bellett gt's these day.

Yes Lewis, I now have one for each boy and the convertable for the girls. I dare not push it any further or I'd be talking to Norm yesterday.

I concur.

I would have called Rod but already have this year's quota filled.

And some wish they still lived in the 70's but nothing is wrong with that ;)

Thanks for the encouragement Glenn but there are only so many body parts left that can be sawn off with a blunt butter knife

Living in the '70's was fine, but in those days you could buy one for $500 and then restore it. but now buy for $15000 and spent another $15000 on it, and it will be worth $20000, we all convince ourselves we can rebuild it for nothing.

Alright...I'll say it...

...I bought mine for $12k, have spent $12k on it and, having done a number of shows, stock GT's don't raise much interest from anyone other than Bellett fans, so if I put $20k on my car now it would take a long time to sell.

Rod, had you been a couple months earlier I would have gladly paid $15k for yours and on-sold mine to a friend. Poor timing for both of us, unfortunately.

Rod mate, I just think your car sold so quickly that many were unable to check their finances!
Plenty of us agree that the value is rising, and rightly so, but it doesn't mean we have the money.

Apparently the Wagga GT has been taken down, so may well have sold.......with the motor sitting on the floor.
15 grand is a bargain.
