Convertible GT

Please be specific as to what part you're after - unless you're after a whole car for parts!

Thanks for all the input guys. I really have appreciated it all.

Since the GT owner in Glady is likely to hold onto his "one off" convertable and JT191's comments (see below) keep ringing in my ears, I believe the way forward is to find out if anyone out there has a REALLY REALLY nice GT they would like see go to a very good home. The GTR dream is probably not worth following as it would appear the GTR "copies" are more famous than the real thing, which nobody really seems to know the difference anyway. Unless your Japaneez and then your not telling. Keep it in the family.
JT191 wrote:The photos don't quite live up to the picture in my mind. It looks a little awkward with the roof cut off. The stacked convertible top doesn't help. Maybe it wants to be a roadster, with the windshield chopped to half height and a fiberglass cover over the rear seats maybe even with the little aero bumps behind the driver and passenger seats.
I think your right JT.

Anyway many thanks to everyone for your help, comments and advice.

start welding the back doors the trucks on its way looks perfect.
i was not insulting your barn find just stating that there is a pr90 donor car behind the shed and that if we had too much time on our hands it would not be impossable.
my other half wants a wasp when i finish my projects with pr90 dash, console, grill ect the dream keeps her happy and buys time to finish the gt projects.she hasnt worked out we wont live that long.

I already told him putting a PR90 grille on a Wasp is blasphemous; there are PR90s out there that need grilles and don't have them....

Plus the Wasp grille is heavy duty coz it's a truck!! Tough!

I'm a sucker for originality though.

Shame shame shame Greg
Ican't believe you would ruin the Wasp & belittle a GT by doing that to it.
There are to few complete PR90's in original condition as well as others being restored that could benefit from your hoarde of parts .But you must do what you must do
good luck with your quest for a Wasp
