Thanks for the move.
Here's a picture of a Diesel dragster, the previous version of this car ran 7.98 in the 1/4.
So a 4 cyl version may be good for 10's in a Wasp !

Now do Isuzu have a small 4 cyl diesel (preferably a modern one) thought the block might not be as strong as the old ones the head, fuel injection and valve train will be.
Cheers
Rob

Apparently I should do more research before I post stuff like that

Rodeo's came out with a nice diesel 2.8L turbo, some are intercooled as well.
I'm still trying to decipher Rodeo years and engines to see what the earliest the 4BJIT engine came in.
Then it would be just a matter of tubbing, lowering and reskining (as a Wasp) a low and behold a drag Wasp.
Cheers
Rob

Do not forget ISUZU built a F1 motor that was of equal performance at the time. Also we have a 3.5 DOHC motor, twin turbo running in the National Sports Sedan series and finished second at the 50k Phillip Island round, last week. This motor is in a Calibra body, and in the last three rounds in the NSW state series was the fastest car.

No Brett, Unfortunatley missed it. Graham Smith has developed the ISUZU V6 DOHC Twin Turbo over the last 2 years and is getting some great Horsepower from it, he say it is the most fun thing to have, after playing with Fiats and Chevs for a long time. He is soon to replace the weak spot (crankshaft ) with a steel one to have a more reliable motor. .Time is a wicked thing, maybe one day we will be in the same place at the same time.
Regards Geoff.
