Goldie looked outside the shed this morning and said "What a nice day! I'm going to work with Dean".

So here we are enjoying morning tea at the local take away at Heathwood after our first job at McGregor.

Good on ya Dean, that's what they were built for........ Drivin'

Donkey is back on the work roster too.
Loaded him up with tools yesterday for work near Hamilton wharf for the next 3 weeks.
I even got spottoed on my way home today by Russel as he came up along side me in his coffin van on the highway (at the Gateway/Bruce Hway merge)
It was actually in the same section of road were Donkey was seen on some random road safety video that Dave posted a while back. That's the place to be seen it would seem.

I got a couple of WTFIT looks, a couple of thumbs up (from the bdouble interstate boys in the loading areas) but otherwise pretty quite. Goldie doesn't quite standout like The Donkey.

Alas, Donkey would probably compete with a set of dogs balls on a parade ground in the "stand out of the crowd" awards.

Mossy is lurking in the back ground ready to complement Donkey at a Nationals in the not to far distant future. Roof tile moss and all.

Mossy just needs a couple of little things to get him going like brakes, interior, electrical, motor........................

Sounds like Mossy is almost done then ;)

Thinking of moving the yellow wasp along. I love it but just can"t see myself shrinking to 5 foot high anytime soon.

What's it worth?

Just bumping this so people cant say "I never knew about selling the yellow wasp".

Two pm's but no offers of a specific price atm.

Yes, laybys are welcomed. It's not about the money but I'm not giving it away. I'm heading to Melbourne with the car trailer between Christmas and new year to pickup the other sport off Glenn. So I could do a drop off on the way down (as long as you live within 5 meters of the Newell, Pacific, New England or Hume Highways

Ooooh, well I'm pretty near to 5 metres from the Hume! (Or can be!)
Tracy just said, "Well you can get that or you can concrete the shed floor." Ohhhh, the torture!

Im just going to modify my 'wish list'........

Cheers, Matt.

I reckon they'll be saying that if you don't put it in the for sale section, regardless of how many bumps it gets. Got pics?

This is a message to Greg and Liz:

I just found out yesterday during an outing, that Goldie's carbies were only opening 60-70% . So I could've kept a little closer on that "Fang" home from The Barn at the Nats :D :D

This weeks project has been assigned: carby linkage adjusting

Due to a downturn in business (lost a major customer to corporate greed), it's time to liquidate some toys starting with the big ticket items.

Call me if your cashed up and looking.

:( Mate, sorry to hear this. I can't afford to liberate you of any said toys...I'd love that strip-light GT!

Good luck with it, I hope business picks up and you don't have to move them.

Not good to hear mate.
I wish I was cashed up but unfortunately I'm not.
Besides I am about to be in limbo with my housing arrangements pretty soon. Just got notice from the landlord that the house is going on the market in about a month. Been looming for a couple of years so no surprises there but also means all my projects are back into containers again for who knows how long

Thanks for the words of support gang both privately and public.

The reality is just based on the financials. Yes I love belletts, love them! But later in life I can always buy another or most likely keep one of the belletts for a crapbox runabout (read Donkey concept).

Secondly, the concept of collecting a few GT's was to get my kids into them. Didn't happen!!!

So seriously, their all for sale starting with Goldie on Ebay. It'll pay off a few business loans and life moves on.

Thats bad news Dean. I'm sorry to hear about the business woes. Its also a shame your kids didn't get into the cars, you never know what they are going to like.
I havent spoken to my mate Scott for a while. I better call him and see what he is up to. Hopefully we can work something out.
Cheers mate,
Matt.

Such is life Matt ;)

Yep, contact Scott and give him the heads up. From what you mentioned about what he was after, Peter Areskog's white GT might be the go. A little beaten up but zero rust and has lived in a shed for the last 20 odd years. All the bits should there including hubcaps. The green one is rusty in parts but would make a fantastic Brother to Donkey. Then if course there is Crash but the technical write-off scares some in Nsw. Goldie is registered and running, no thrill of a rebuild there :? All boring, just hop in and drive.

Dave may correct me, but Crash isn't actually a write-off...only damaged beyond the assessors estimate of the cars value, so the insurance company paid out on the policy.
