I've been given a couple more shots of Rolie in action (stop me if you've heard this one before!) I like this one of Rob chasing the little Abarth 1000,

I'd like to say that Rob had just gone past Nick Swift in his super fast Mini, but I fear he was being lapped, still, it's a good shot. (Look at the direction Swifty's fronts are pointing)

We were also treated to the truely spectacular sight of 10 Spitfires taking to the skys, apparently the most in one go since the war.

Hey Brett, Phillip Island was awesome and I would love to get back there in 2012 (we'll see....) but seriously, HOW good would Goodwood be!? I mean, seriously!

They're both exceptional events; I can say the Island is awesome from experience and as for Goodwood, I'm yet to hear a bad word about it.

If only I had a flying Winnebago!!!!

Yeah, you've got to do it Dave......Start planning for 2013, as that's when we'll be back with Rolie with a whole lot more horses under the bonnet (2012 is 1950's St Mary's cars turn).
One of the biggest problems with the Revival is finding somewhere to stay that isn't a hundred miles away....we all live locally and can easily sort that out.
It would be great if some of you guys from down under could make it over......together with the guys from Finland we could have one hell of a party.

Oh all right, just one more, this is me and the Merc that I had a race long battle with, until he spun beside me (I was on his inside though )

Morning all, just to let you know that we have made progress in the decision making dept. on Rolie's near future.
We intend to hit the engine hard this winter and try for this series http://www.hrdc.eu/historic_touring_cars.html

This will give us a chance to develop the car within a competitive environment, and hopefully have some fun along the way.

As you know Antti and his mate Esko, from Finland, came along to the Revival (have you bought your tickets yet Dave?) and took these pictures.

65, you know I don't need any encouragement to post pics. More and more keep turning up.
We copied the Nippon Racing stickers from the originals on Mac's car....a friend of mine's a printer. I've got some stuff going over to GTOrph, so I'll stick a few in, no trouble.

Anyway back to the pics ....this is a goodie, it shows Robbie in a nice drift in front of that pesky Abarth.

Man O Man, what a sensational story this is on little "Rolie, if only the car could talk, I am sure it we would be having a BALL!!!
I knwo what a great Job George Cole did in Dubbo with his restoration of a tear drop a few years ago, I think Rolie just surpases that effort!!
You should wrote a book or a story on this Mark??

No love nudge, Sticky. We try to play nicely at Goodwood. As I finally got some heat into the brakes, he struggled more and more to match Rolie's pace, and it was only a matter of when and where he would 'exit stage left'....he worried a few of the guys behind though, as he speared back across the track and ended up on the infield!

Not much news on the engine yet, but it suddenly occurred to me that some of you may like to see the in car footage of the race. A few of you may have seen it at Coona, but for those of you who didn't.......

It's quite long, but it is the whole race, and if you watch it through you'll understand why I've been banging on about 'that pesky Fiat'. Sadly the camera failed for my race, but I reckon Rob had the busier race anyway.
