Hi Mark, you are lucky having the 'earlier' diff. On my 72 Sport, the brake lines run though the forward cross member meaning its not an easy drop down. Anyway, i hope its all sorted and ratio works well for you guys.

I would do a digital replica of Rolie (in 1964 GT body though, as making sedan bodystyle is beyond my skills right now), but I am too busy ( read interested) making my own very first 3D graphics additions to game. Our team did few year ago Mini Marcos MkI for the gt legends and while it is not bad add-on, we have learned so much about the game and how to make things for it after that, so Marcos definitely needs an update. As the original 3D graphics artist of Marcos has changed his interests and our other graphics guys is busy, It became time to me learn doing some 3D stuff.

I started easy way by making optional / additional oil cooler in front and as it was suprisingly easy (took one night), I pumped up the target "a notch"... And decided to try making original Marcos dashboard for it. Progess is slow (and a lot harder of course), but while it is not anywhere near finished, it does work in game already. Nevertheless, there's still stuff to do, chrome plates behind the instruments, lighter plastic material for the (now too) dark dashboard, etc...

Another thing in PC Simulators is great is the fact that you can run tracks that do not exists anymore. And in most cases you can run them in their golden days glory, like the 1965 Clermont-Ferrand (also known as Charade), in this early preview video of version 2.0 of Mini Marcos for GT Legends:

Hooray, the English summer's here...and we've got Brands Hatch this Sunday. And bizarrely we're pretty much ready. My only slight concern is I was unable to get any track time to run the new diff in, so we go to this race with a very fresh final drive.
Here's the entry list. As you can see, this is a two driver race at 40 minutes....and I'll be sharing with my old mate Simon, who'll some of you will remember did the Spa race with me.
When I'm sitting in the collecting area watching the temperature climb, wondering what the hell I'm doing this for, I'll think of the forum.....
.....and when the lights go out, and the smile returns to my face, I'll give Greg another nod of true thanks.

It was a pleasure to help Mark and be a small part of the experience, as others on this forum have had input in the development of this car and from different parts of the world. It truly is a real community.

Maybe in its heyday it was superspeed. In comparison to todays vehicles. Superslow.

Back from Brands, and generally pleased with how we went.....the new diff is excellent, and has already gained us 2 seconds over last year...but of course, the extra speed/revs comes at a cost, and the car ran very hot....which subsequently we couldn't run at maximum attack.
We have plans to sort this though.

We qualified 15th of 33 and finished 15th. In the context of the race it's a good result, as we had one the world's worst pit stops.....Simon's a big old unit, and backing straps off after he's sat on them is not for the feint hearted!.....and then this happened.....

You'll see we're both short shifting into top around the back of the circuit in an attempt to control the temperature.

That looked like fun.
You can definitely notice the improved performance of Rolie just from the in car footage when compared to previous videos.

You had that corner well sorted that unfortunately caught Simon out.
Nice little preempted drift mid corner each time.

I'm glad you're still enjoying the car's adventures Down Under.
We've now started work on cooling it down, the idea is to create a lower pressure area at the back of the engine bay and increase flow through the rads.
So we've cut more air exit holes in the heater box We're not allowed to raise the rear of the bonnet, so we've cut off the bonnet flange and the return flange on the grill. There are loads of other things we can do, but this time we'll take it one step at a time, this way we can work out which mod does the job.
We aim to be ready for Castle Combe in mid July.

Hi Pom.
In your 'list' of things you can do are you able to put vent grilles in the bonnet the same as a GTR or a Sport.
I had heating problems on my sedan and GT. New radiators and heater core cleaning helped it a bit. I found using a radiator overflow bottle assisted a lot. Any coolant pushed out through the cap was then sucked back in when it cools down. You know the theory. I also found that if I had the heater tap open it assisted the cooling. Is your heater hose from the back of the pump going to the fitting at the back of the head. i.e. No heater and a continuous water circuit. My line of thinking is that if you had a small radiator similar to a heater core mounted at the back of the engine or in the cabin area would assist the cooling of the back of the head and block.
