Is this the eBay item you got? The one with the body that was sitting vertically on the back porch of this guy's house?

That would have been a huge effort to transport!

Gday mate.Seems we have a bit in common. I also have a project Wasp. I have promised myself I'll have it at the nationals over your way next year. (Also a table top). Nationals were soooooooo good this year,-Bellett nirvana. Noticed your crown - great tow vehicles - thats a proper chassis. My first 2 cars were belletts (65 & 66&1/2), then I bought a 67 Crown S (MS 41-S), in1979. Beaut car, drove it everywhere - more than 200,000 miles. Poor old thing is still sitting out the back. Current shopping trolley is an 85 crown (with the 2 aircons & the little fridge & lots of electric stuff) - a bit like driving a mattress. Tows good, though, - important for can't miss out Bellett finds. Hope to see your cars in the metal sometime, maybee at the 09 nationals?
Cheers, Matt.

Put some photo's up under the 'Other Cars' section. It would be good to get some other classics up there :)

Does this mean that it is no longer maybe a Wasp project but definitely a Wasp project?

I see the problem!

The steering wheel is on the wrong side!

In all seriousness.. looks pretty rust free, how is the frame?

Cheers,

Andrew

That's a classic photo! How'd you find the leg room... Bloody cramped no doubt!

Looks like a good base though, good luck with the project!

Cheers,
R.

We didn´t get any Wasps here in Finland... Maybe you must cut off the back wall and move it a little backwards?

That's a shame, Antii - it's going to make it hard to collect the whole set!
64, you look a bit taller than me - I'm only 170cm and yeah, the elbows are down! The cabstretch has been done - (V6 wasp), adding 15cm to cab and chassis, but that's a lot of work! Catalyst for George was a rusted out roof, so he cut 3/4 of a roof off 1 of my rusty sedans. (The flatter line emphasises the stretch).
The space issue reminds me of a journey I once made from Gulgong, N.S.W. to Sydney's west - a distance of about 240 km. I was driving, and in with me were my brother, his wife, and their 4 kids. They were moving house, so the tray was loaded with furnature. Oh, and I was on 'L' plates! True. (There was not a lot of spare space). That was a very different time!
Happy restoring! Matt.
