racing Bullett and thought I'd post some piccies for you all.
You can tell by the colour of the block that it's destined to be very fast

When it is built can you please put a video of it on here with the sound of the lumpy little beast - I can't wait to hear it!!!

Will do redback.
My engine building skills outweigh my I.T skills tho - something I'll have to learn to put up a video
I'll keep you all updated with photos as it progresses as well.
I can really recommend the book in the photo for anyone contemplating an engine rebuild, whether it is standard or otherwise. i have messed with engines for many years but I learnt lots from this book. - easy chapters, photos etc.

Yep i rebuilt my Bellett engine about 10 years ago - and it is still going.
Nothing fancy with my rebuild - I just wanted to make it look pretty (Paint and Chrome see thread here:
http://www.bellett.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=191) and not leak oil!!
Got a NOS VRS Kit, NEW pistons (30thou) from Dalby Autopro - and they were very helpful since I live in Darwin.
I had the engine bore and honed and the valves reseated by a local engine reconditioner and put it together using the Workshop Manual and had a blast doing it too.
Cheers
Neil

that looks very nice, shame youve got to hide that shiny crank behind the sump!
looks like a great start!
