Hi, does anyone have an oil separator laying around that is no longer required? The one on my newly acquired sedan is missing and there is only a hose running from the sump to the air filter canister...needless to say there is some oil in the canister after the trip from Melbourne. It probably is not a major issue on short distances but it anyone has a spare.....would be appreciated. cheers, clyde

My early sedan has an aftermarket petrol filter fitted in the line from sump to air filter.
Haven't driven the car yet to find out if it works but, I think it should
Hope this may be some help. Cheers Beetle

The oil separator on mine is still pretty solid with some rust in the inlets/outlets of the oil sep.what is the best method to clean these things?are they pretty much bullet proof?

Ok,when cleaning this oil separator I could hear stuff inside of it and when shaken lightly balls of what looked like dried oil & dirt came out of it,put it in the part cleaner and ran a solvent through it,when putting liquid in the top of this the flow should be slow to the outlet on the bottom of this separator right?
How do I know if this is still a good serviceable part?
Thanks!
Mark
