Chevrolet Caprice Police Special escapes custody

Some of you may or may not know that Holden, after the relative failure that was the Pontiac G8, have re-entered the US market with a cop-spec-only Chevrolet Caprice.
Based on the Holden Caprice, mainly for the wheelbase, the Police Special has a bunch of luxuries removed and a bunch of police-specific stuff put in there. Oh and they run on tuff 17" steel wheels.
Anyway, according to this (and other sources)...

... some smart-alec dealer is going to flog a few off to the general public! This would explain the weird, cheapo-looking aftermarket wheels....
The Commodore and Caprice range haven't had any major quality flaws I'm aware of, and with 6.0 litres of V8 goodness in them I'm sure they'll rattle a few boy racers at the traffic lights.
Just try not to get shot by gangsters when they recognise the 'cop only' shape....
Cheers,
Dave
