G200w Thermostat Housing

Hi Guys I have just gone to change the thermostat in my twin cam and have noticed that the housing has been a bit ravaged by time.
I got really excited when I found that the 1600 Gemini one I have fits but only to discover the nozzle points the wrong way (back to the block not towards the rad).
Can any of you save me from doing the usual Bellett owner thing of opening every packet in the shop and really annoying the guy at the local Repco by telling me what will fit????
Cheers

Gav, I would reckon they should still have a listing for a Piazza, but I've never tried it.
Cheers, Matt.

Good idea Matt. I had a quick look at Super Cheap this morning at couldn't find any thing with the nozzle facing the correct way.
Matt do you still want that steering wheel? I still have it sitting in the shed and every time I look at it I think I must get in touch

Hi Gav I'm not sure if the g200 water manifold is the same as the gtr but when I fitted the gtr motor into the blue car I Just used a std Bellett one hope this helps regards Peter.

Thanks Gav, the tiller was for Black Betty, but now Grant owns her. My Wasp one has a gap at the top, but theres no rush. Perhaps at the Nats? I doubt the Wasp will be ready for then! (Though it should be

)
Cheers, Matt.

G200W was not in the Australian Piazza. Those would have been G200Z and 4ZC1.

You are spot on JT, I discovered that last night while checking the Tridon web site.
Pete they must have made a change between the 161 and the 200 as I checked the Sedan housing and it pointed roughly in the same direction as the Gemini housing. A funny thing though I had a thermostat housing for a Mazda 323 Ford Laser 1991 onward and that housing also fit but the outlet was pointing straight up in the air the same as the L series Datsun one (I don't know why I have all of these odd bits and pieces

).
Gricey are you sure it was the top tank you changed? The top tank on my standard Bellett Rad seems to be alright, it is the bottom tank that comes out the wrong side. If you get a chance could you upload a few pics of your engine bay for me.

Gav i changed the bottom tank over also it was reversed and the bottom spout changed from side to side. If you do this i had a tray put below the top spout inside the top tank so the water gets delivered towards the right hand side the radiator other wise the water may only cycle the left half on the radiator. vl commodores used to drop the baffle and the above happened and overheat them.

At the moment I am using a standard sedan Rad with a hose that is about 3 feet long carrying the fluids from one side to the other

I have a Rad sitting here waiting to be converted. I will mention it to who ever converts it.
Are you running a thermo fan of yours? I have just fitted a 10" pull through fan on mine and it is a pretty tight fit

That was a big ass hill allright!
The Donkey was cooking at the top of it, and screamin 1st gear with brake fade on way to the bottom.
It was a hoot though.... cracker of a view.
