We left home on the 24th to find the road was closed behind us due to flooding but we were onroute to nsw and the sun was shining. The first weekend we spent in port macquarie monday we went to newcastle it was a little cloudy tuesday mudgee a weather warning was on the radio for 100mm for the next 3 days with the stars out that night 3 days is ok it will be gone by the weekend ;) wednesday we head for bathurst max temp 13 deg and it poored rain 3km's out of town and this was the last of the sun for us  being assured that the event will run no matter what we camped and tried to look tuff on the hill  The Grice family showed up for support on thursday. They were staying no matter what and ma and pa were in mudgee that night alls wet and cold but good a few drinks will make things better 8-)
Fridy morning arrives with the officials to say if you want to get out of bathurst go the hiway is about to close  so we pack up and head for orange and we leave the Grices to travel in seach of sun but they tell us they only found more water and deeper,we sent ma and pa the message and have not seen them since .
We were accepted in the grafton hill climb the sun was out and we were off looking forward to getting dry 900km,s later we get to grafton windscreen wipers doing overtime still  We spent sunday sliding round the track Lizzie manage to raise the crowd with a 360 demo  only to get home to the hiway being shut behind us as we are on the edge of a tropical low.
Thanks for the support gricey's and ma and pa where ever you got too for the support  and laugh

I like your Space Shuttle transporter. I guess all that rain helped keep it cool on re-entry to QLD. 8-)

Gricey,
Gooday to both of you, thank you Gricey.
I certainly will when down your way, however this time we will be heading out through Broken Hill to Port Augusta then up the centre, back through western Queensland, with my brother and his wife in their caravan.
We will catch up.

Lindsay Kahler is heading off in the same direction as we are, hopefully catch up with him "somewhere" in the NT ;) . Lindsay and Chris are going to the National Avan Meeting in Alice Springs, while that is on, I will be in Uluru for a week then heading North to Darwin, we might see them on the road between Darwin and 3 ways somewhere, that is if they don't decide to go bush somewhere on the way home.
2WEEKS AND 2.5 DAYS TO GO, BUT WE ARE NOT COUNTING

Bring ya umbrellas it is pissin' down at the moment

I am sure the weather would have improved by the time you get here but the roads on the way up from Alice will still be flooded in some places.

Check this website prior to leaving mate:

We are fine for water up here - our dam spills over EVERY year.

Our backup dam (Manton Dam) which we usually go wakeboarding at is closed at the moment cause someone saw a little lizard (croc) :(
and that only stops overflowing at the end of the dry.

We regularly have 200mm of rain overnight (24hours).

I enjoy the wet season up here but I LOVE the dry.......
