I was lead to believe it was early days but looking at this photo the one with the surfboard on the roof looks late model and 2 up is also

but the photos don't show 66/67 from what i can see and there are no gt's in any photo so far

there could be a lot of photo's yet.

This was a combined trip with NSW and Qld club at Nambucca Heads, and apparently they had permission to use an old air field for friendly drag racing.
I had contact with Mike Collinson at the NRMA motorfest, we have been friends for near on 40 years,
Mike had the only GT in NSW club, and there were no GT's in the Qld Club at this time.
Mike was, and still is a very keen photographer, and in the early NSW Bellett Car club days was considered the official photographer for the club, and he informs me that he has 1000s of photographs of their events, and is willing to share them with us. A lot of these photos are black and white, and are of very good quality, and he will to share any pics that he has. Included in his collection are some shorts of my GT now Gregs Maroon GT, Allan Youngs GT Dave Maurice's Florian as well as Mike's GT, that were taken in the Botanical Gardens Sydney, and has the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge in the photos, they are night shots and would be impossable to get these days without being arrested.
Mike's original GT was the first GT that I had ever laid my eyes on, and the first I ever had a ride in.
I would like Mike to join Bellett nett and share his pics and some of the stories from early days.
Cheers Geoff

Not 100% sure, but think that the red Corolla next to the Austin 1800 may be Ken and Carrol Bloor's and also maybe taller guy wih Qld flg may be Ken.

WOW, MEMORIES, I was there at Nambucca in my first Bellett, 19661/2 sedan, white without roof racks, 2 driving lights with black covers about the middle of the line up. That was an awesome weekend, I was not married then, boy we had some fun times!!
I have made contact with Michael after too many years and we going to get togther next week, Michael has over 90 film rolls of black and white photos of Belletts and Florians belonging to Jim Gore and myself!!
Jim and Roslyn Gore, founders of the NSW Club were there also.

The dark Blue, '65 DWR 485 with roof racks, sun visor & odd driving lights, - was the reason the club got started...That one is "Bell" owned by Jim & Roslyn Gore, bought new from Bankstown September 1965 & traded in '69 for a Florian. "Flo"
I think the event was at Nambucca Heads & unfortunately the air strip at Macksville was not unused as we thought & we did not have permission.... The Policeman was not happy, nor some of the members that he ticketed..... ooooops.
