Heya guys,

Here's one for Farmer; I'm pretty certain this is an Isuzu TX truck!

It appeared very briefly during a story about modern slavery, sadly.

I was doing the dishes and happened to look up at the EXACT RIGHT TIME. Thanks to the wonders of digital TV, I was able to rewind and thanks to the wonders of digital photography, I was able to reproduce it here!

I'm fairly certain they were building TX trucks in Thailand well into the 1970s, perhaps beyond. A cursory Googling will show brochure pics of TX trucks with a modernised front, complete with the modern Isuzu writing we're familiar with on local 1980s trucks, so it might not actually be as old as you think!

Later in the same article I found this:

Dunno what it is, but it's definitely cool and old. The badge looks like an old Hino badge. Perhaps that's what it is!??!?

Thanks Dave, I've been a bit slow finding this thread! :?
Nice to see that some survive somewhere. :D
Notice the lack of a door & the home-made looking cab back. Some were sold with a part cab - firewall & windscreen - so that bus bodies & etc could be built on.
Rels that have visited Asia say they see them about, usually working (real) hard.

Cheers mate,
Matt.
