Went to a car show at St Michael's School fete last weekend, it wasn't a huge turn out car wise as half the club are tripping around the other side of the world turning Japanese, and what an adventure they're having as you can see from the orphanage diary. Anyhow we had about twelve Japanese cars turn up and amazingly they were all two doors! Including two Bellett GT's. Well organised by Kathy little did I know, your sister Gricey, boy did I hear some stories there ;)

Heres a few photos, and a question at the end one.

While looking round these cars and as I couldn't get my chrome windscreen strip in I noticed this strip seems very similar to a bellett, question is what is it's connection to a Bellett???????????? :?:

Davo. Did Mokes have doors.? I know of a DONKEY that has doors. But not a Moke. Might have been a backshed jobby on
a Californian Moke you may have seen running around.

Hey Gerry. The roof on the minx. Is it a fibreglass throw on like the MGB's.?? I think there was a choice if you wanted to buy a MGB. Ragtop or hardtop.Or you could have both. Weren't many up here.
You've got me interested again in having a hardtop for my GT when I saw that minx.

Dave.

Davo is right. Californian Minx built about '59/'60 I think. 2 door with from memory a option of hardtop or soft top. Now
the cobwebs are stirring. I had a young fella work with me about 35 years ago and he had a Minx, a later model, similar to a series 3. Had woodgrain dash and wood grain inner door belt moulds. Belletts have the pressed steel ones with the felt
that rubbed up against the window. Often wondered what the model was. Some of the design features rubbed off from the
Minx to the Bellett.
Can anybody tell me what that model was please.?

Dave.
