Yellowperil is on the job, on the radio this morning was a great blurb for the Isuzu Bellett and their 50 years since first one sold and then went on promote the Nats Good one Andrew.
Near on fell out of the car when I heard it. :D :D :D :D

Thanks everyone. The compare was asking people to ring or text in their favourite classic car- - the one they'd love to own. I got sick of all the listeners sending in "dream - on" makes so I thought I'd throw in the Bellett just to keep them interested. I reckon one criterion for "Classic" status is that it's got to be obtainable to the normal person (are any of us normal???), otherwise it's a Cla$$ic.

The Saturday morning compare on Tassie ABC is a bit of a wheel-nut, so we should arrange a phone call to him on the Saturday of the Nats. Perhaps someone who knows more about their history than I could give him a call and alert listeners to the "Show and Shine at Penguin" on the Sunday?

Andrew

The rap you gave was excellent, Covered Bondi driving one at Bathurst, and Mc Claren at Goodwood. I had only just got in the car and driving down the road and this Guy starts waffling about Isuzu Belletts, I had goose bumps on my goose bumps, then he then said was sent in by Andrew.
Cheers Geoff

Belletts, the 50th anniversary and some history never get any radio air time, and now they get 3 goes in a week.....
The world has gone mad.
