Orientation of front side repeater lights

Hi

I recall a comment from judging at nationals regarding the repeater light being installed upside down

Can someone confirm which is the correct way up

I had a look and I must admit I always thought that they were symmetrical. Is the long side up or down -- I would have assumed that the longer side was up

Regards

Hey George,

My understanding is that they droop down, with the long, curved side on the top and the shorter side underneath.

You can see what I mean here, in this brochure shot of a rare, 2-headlight 1964 Bellett 1300.

This is correct. Longer side to the sky. Don't put 'em on upside down 'cause it just look wrong!

Same as teardrop grille badges - thicker edge to the top. Otherwise the symbol says Uzusi. I suppose!

And 66 1/2 to 68 front parkers. The targety bit faces straight forward, not to the side.

And late overriders. Left and right front are shaped to face forward so that if you parked against a flat wall, the whole rubber would be in contact. And the rear overriders are different as the bumper is straight.

All good, hope this helps,
Cheers, Matt.

Hey Farmer,
What about the chrome strip on the Wasp grille. Thick side up or down ??
