Next weekend, Sun 12th Feb, is the All Jap Classic organized by the 7 of Clubs (Mazda Car Club of QLD) and my Dubbo Wasp ute is going to have it's first day out with some of it's extended family and friends.


Still farm fresh with all it's original Dubbo dust and massive wasp nest under the drivers guard

It will be the first time I have EVER trailer'd one of my own cars to a car show

Always a good turn out here,sadly can't make this one,work ,looking forward to a few photo's of the Beast,hope Donkey don't get jealous,and you don't melt suppose to be a hot one,Gerry

Pity you can't make it Gerry, it's always a massive turnout at Banyo. I'll take some photo's of the day for you.
It's going to be a scorcher of a day though too with 38deg being the forecast.
The heat I can handle but it's the humidity we get with it that's the killer.
The house I have moved into is a absolute sauna too. When it hit 37deg here a couple of weeks ago it was 44deg inside my house (no aircon or fans) and it only dropped down to 32deg inside the house at night when outside dropped to 23deg.
I think I'll be rolling out the swag in the back yard for the next few nights just so I can get some sleep at night.....

Looks like Donkey will be making the run to All Jap instead of the Wasp. My brother is still using the trailer to move his bobcat

A few pics from Sunday's All Jap Classic

It was an oppressively hot day but there was still an impressive turnout of classics (and moderns) with more than 800 cars rolling through the gates. The majority started to bail on the event at about 930am and the field was virtually empty by 11am.
We also had a couple of unexpected visitors on the day with Peter turning up in his beautiful 117 coupe having driven it up from Sydney (I think that's where he lives) as well as Ross (2ldohc) and his fiance (sorry forgotten her name already..... how bad is that but she does have the most amazing engagement ring EVER) turning up for a quick look and a chat.

These two cars were right up there in the jaw droppingly beautiful don't slip in my drool department too
And who could go past Peter's georgous 117, it's such a beautiful car
He was even one of the last ones to leave. By the time he packed up to leave he was almost alone in the paddock
There were only a handfull of us OSJCC members still there and a few of the organizers doing a final clean up
