Isuzu in the Vines...... though a Sticky lens

Well it seems I promised something I couldn't follow through with entirely.....
I took a heap of pics yesterday as cars started to roll through the gates and people hugged and laughed, but it seems my trusty old camera wasn't on it's A game.
The lens shutter wasn't fully opening (without me realizing) so every shot I took was 3/4's black and 1/4 fuzzy
Today however at the show and shine it was opening

that is until the battery went flat half way through trophy presentations
But I did get a bunch of pictures before that happened (inc some sneaky ones) so I will up some now for your viewing pleasure beginning with MY "People's Choice" selection
Then of course there was the jewel in the crown

BAM BAM
Judged "Car of Show" "Peoples Choice" & "Best Father 'n' Daughter Weekend EVER" (Well that's the one I'd have given them

)
Oh steady my beating heart. What a STUNNING little Teardrop (I think I even shed a few - I certainly wet my pants a little bit)
Then of course there's "my" fly in the ointment...... judged "Runner Up Modified Sedan"
And the uber cool Teardrop racer of Dave Ganon....... judged "Best Modified Sedan"
YES there are more, keep scrolling

The Potter's tidy sedan (winner of the worlds biggest spotlights on a Bellett award)
Dave Watts flyin' the flag as always
And who can ever walk past Donkey's best mate Ol' Yella and not take a photo
Then there is the cavalry charge.......
More to come..... The people of the Nationals

Still having some camera issues sorry
But here are some of the people who make a Nationals event so special
Of course Gricey walks through frame right on cue
Then there was the trophy winners - those that I got before my camera battery died anyway

This year we had a much broader variety in the "Other Isuzu" category including these beauties
We were also visited and supported by the local Mudgee and Gulgong car club members too who came along for a look, but also brough some of their cars along too
Still suffering some difficulties with technology but will try to keep pics coming even if they are a couple of days behind time of occurrence

Hi Sticky,
It was great to catch up with you guys again. My apologies though, I left without saying goodbye to you and the other Qld contingents. I didn’t realise you guys weren’t going on to Bathurst.
Anyway, till next time. Travel safe.

Hi to all that did the run down to Bathurst this morning.
It was bit of a last minute decision late last night to head home this morning instead of doing the run due to a number of extenuating circumstances and pressing matters developing back home.
I was trying to do the rounds this morning to say goodbye to everyone but unfortunately I missed quite a lot of people and missed out on a lot of hugs
BUT I will see you all again real soon
WHAT A CRACKIN' WEEKEND!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to all the organizers

I had a fabulous weekend and I am so ever grateful for all your effort and sacrifice.

I have a lot more pics to post in this thread + my road trip thread + Matty's "Elf and Safety" thread

but will have to do it over the coming days and possibly weeks (I took well over 1000 of them in total)
I'm more than halfway home now but have no internet service once at home again so I will have to do the uploading at work.
At least that way you will have something new to look at for a while to come yet

Saturday night was a blast with plenty of people getting into the fancy dressed 60's theme
And the celebration will continue next year in Victoria

Sunday's drive saw us heading down to the historic mining towns of Hill End and Sofala.
I have posted a bunch of pics under Farmers Elf and Safety thread of Dobby on the drive out there but here are a few more of the other cars and people who also happened to be there
When ever I go to Hill End I always park Donkey out the front of this house for photo.......
of course the is a picture of my favorite car/truck of the Nationals with a little bit of Donkey for that special splash of green to balance out the composition of the shot
Sorry Gricey, I cut the front of your Florian off
But I have to say that the ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT of this years Nationals for me, was seeing Joe join the band with his KILLER harmonica playing
That was hands down, the cherry on top for me
Soon after it was time to head to Sofala, Conga Line style
Spotto'd some cool sculptures in a front yard en-route but only one of my out the window at 80km/hr pics turned out
SILL MORE TO COME

A fantastic lot of photos with a great mix of cars and people over the weekend, thank you Sticky!
To everyone, A BIG THANK YOU, for being part of the weekend, it was sooo good to have each and everybody and the collection of ISUZU. vehicles in Mudgee for the weekend.
What a great family of ISUZU OWNERS we have in the group!
If you are ever passing through Mudgee, please give me a call so we can catch up, 0412 600469.

Final pics from me for this thread are of our drive to and stop at Sofala, with the last couple on the way back to Mudgee
We finally waved farewell to a pesky Subaru that was in the middle of our Conga Line half way to Sofala
Nothing but a rainbow of Isuzu's in front of me now for the rest of the drive
At first I thought Gricey was just giving me a wave......... but it turns out that it was actually a salute
Finally the drive back home to Mudgee behind Terry and Janet in the PR90 & Warren and Cameron in the Wasp
Well that's it folks for my 2017 Mudgee National photo coverage, hope you all enjoyed them (I still have some roadtrip pics to put up in the other tread yet so don't shed any tears)
Next year it will no doubt happen all over again

in a similar epic QLDer roadtrip style of course..... maybe via SA to pick up some of boys
We'll just have to wait and see.
