Hi Gerry,It has 1800 twin cam fitted and Greg sorting out fuel injection.Colour not true to screen, it is called Breeze and is a Ford colour mainly on XR8 and GT, it is more a teal colour but shows up blue in photos. We started to reassemble today.

Looking very very nice, and should get up nicely with the twincam. I think the last photo I saw had the exhaust system on the roof! Still a few months to go for Coona. So many new cars to swoon over! It's gunna be good - all you (we) southerners are gunna hafta make the drive - it'll be a Bellettfest!
Great work!
Cheers, Matt.

I usually do save that sort of stuff, but no, I can't find it anywhere. I just looked through heaps of others that I've clicked 'save' on, but it wasn't there.
Sorry, Matt.

Thanks Matt, I think I have asked that question before, I did not not take any photos of it before I started the resto, and have contacted the previous owner, who was going to send some photos that he had but I havn't received them. so will have to rely on my memory.(which is getting very short these days).hope to post some more pics today and we are on track for coona.

A yellow one in the background!?! How many do you have up there?

The yellow one was a ex new guinea rally car.It became a member of our family in the seventies it was sold to a bloke in north qld when my sister was born.We tried to buy it back for years after but the owner would not part with it.We got a phone call one day to say it was written off and do we want the wreck. It is a rust free body that had been hit in the rear.We have repaired the damage and when we finish the 2 gt's {isabell/patches} it will be stipped and primed. It will stay yellow with a gtr theme.
[might stamp a W in the body no ;) ]

As for how many we have? A few. We have been collecting them for a while. Lets just say the kids get one each when we die.

Yes isabell is the north qld car with the snorkle.

These cars have become a family obsession as my perents still hold a strong interest as isabell is there car as well as others. I inherited the disease from them.We think it can be transmitted between partners also, as Liz my partner sold her project car{2dr ford escort}to find a wasp and restore it Walter.Liz could have had a gt but she preferd a wasp.As for our siblings they also show interest in them.

Ah yes, how could I forget patches...that's an awesome project. I haven't seen so much metalwork since a guy in German sent me pictures of his systematic fabrication and replacement of an entire DB-Panhard chassis!

Cool. You know, there probably hasn't been this many GT's under restoration at one time in the history of the model, and they're almost all in one shed! Almost enough to justify a run of reproduction GT hubcaps, surely? :D

You could do with Davo's Sydney GT in the shed too...you look like you're running out of work to do. ;)

Too bad my Bond isn't travelling so fast. :x

Keep up the great work...looking forward to the next pics.

Cheers,
Duane

Injection is almost complete. I got it running today still need to clean a few things up ie tidy some wires run a air cleaner ect.The injection is out of a nissan pulsar 90 model and at this stage it still thinks it is a pulsar until it gets remaped if necessary.
Photos show it almost complete. I did not get time to clean the engine bay before the photo so they are a little dusty in the engine bay.
