I have no idea if there's anyway this would fit, but could be a way to get various ratios and LSD too.

I suspect it's too high and maybe too wide also. One would need the axles also, to be adapted to Bellett at the uni joint. Making mount brackets would be interesting also.

Not exactly cheap in our world but since its brand new, good value.

Would be an interesting conversion, ask Tom Amos??
I doubt it would be possible, you would need the outer dimensions of those diffs first I would think? ;)
Some VERY INTERESTING engineering would be required I would think!!

Datsun R160 (standard ) , R180 ( 6 cylinder - 240 K etc. - tough as nails ) and R200 (300 ZX etc.- handle heaps of H.P. ) diffs will fit a Datsun 1600 with very few mods. and there is are heaps of ratios available and LSD 's as well. Similar in concept to Bellett but not swing axle.

Yes, I looked at them years ago with the idea of transplanting the whole rear end of a Datsun 1600 into a Bellett...... I never actually got to do any measurements though to see how feasible it was.
But finding one now could be a problem i suspect. And along with Bellett, old in the tooth although parts are probably still available new.

Subaru rear diffs. are the same creature as the Datsun 1600 diff.. Do not know if they are R160 or R180 type.

Custom fitted Kaaz LSD is about the same price.
And FAR better. Trust me....
My old race diff is/was a pretend LSD. It worked a lot better than a standard diff, but not as good as a true LSD.
Cost next to nothing, seriously, and is now under Gav's sedan.
My race car now had a locker.

Subaru WRX is exactly the same as Datsun R160. Most historic Datto 1600's now use Sub diffs.
