Hey Simone!
Good to see a bit of truth at last though the dollars vary somewhat. Tell Daryl I finally got rid of those disks he was after.
That "works" GT triggered my involvement in the formation of the BCCV and later caused others to leave... It was indeed a significant vehicle.
Now, as to the ...

Re: My bellett - What should i do with it
The 145HP sounds reasonable - st'd G200W is 135HP (flywheel); add 40% for turbo (190HP) and deduct 25% for transmission.
But the 230HP (flywheel) N/A engine is reliable. Excluding the forged pistons ("needed above 180HP"), it's not far off standard (port & mildish cams).
Mine was merely 100kW ...

Re: My bellett - What should i do with it
A turbo G200W should be above 300HP - if not 390 (as with the GT sold last year).
NA G200Ws with the HDT tuning are ~230HP.

The Magna disk 1985-1992 includes the TM, TN, TP & fits OVER the drum hub.
Peter's pic above is not that type of Magna disk.

Hey Man, well said.
But don't knock the BCCV. And it was only one more piece of misinfo (illogical person!).

Re: PR91W Bellett GTR
Sorry Brett, I missed your post before.
I won't disagree with what you said. I know where Tom's car came from; where it's original engine is, etc.
What I have said is that it is NOT fake because "it doesn't have a PR91W chassis number".
That info has caused much confusion, and many to benefit LOL!

Not at all! I wasn't aware that Holden did the development of the 4ZC1-t or its mapping (both fuel and ignition obviously!). Your previous info stated "may have been" etc.
So it's as I suspected, Holden couldn't handle all-electronic systems (ha ha - my spin; noting however that Holden wanted to ...

Re: differential
I still don't see JT's point.
We are talking about "re-curving" an ignition system, not determining the curve (which these days is easy & automated as per Hudson, and may have been in 1980 else probably CAD/CASE or manual formula etc).
When the 1986 4ZC1-t was introduced, someone determined its ...

Re: PR91W Bellett GTR
You sort of summed it up Dave.
I can't remember if the G161W had central mounts, or the early G180W, but the later G180W, G180S & G200W all had central mounting lugs in addition to front lugs.
117s being Florians started with front mounts (45 & 60 degree variants) and upright oil filters while ...

Re: PR91W Bellett GTR
Noting that I have been told "all (DOHC) Gems are 1800" and separately (but in the same session) "there are black (cover) Gems" which refers to a special kit that could be obtained. The latter doesn't mean the blacks are 1800, but the former suggests they are. And I think it was a kit (only) for the ...

I'd recommend the 85-92 Magna solution onto drum hubs.
Otherwise, I have GT setups with new pads (and a set of 4,000km discs); PM me with an $offer if interested.

Re: PR91W Bellett GTR
Funny - I just had that discussion with another forum member....
AFAIAC, there is no way to identify a genuine GT-R except by matching the "Engineers" Notebook's with the chassis numbers - they were all PR91 with a few (8?) PR95 (ie, GT1800). They were produced randomly off the production line ...

Re: differential
I'm not sure what your point is.
Are you saying that the Piazza etc ECU was never remapped, or that they would rather do a new mechanical run than another mapping?
Whether it is mask level ROM etc won't matter - a normal mask run is 1,000 units, but this does not mean it's not economical for ...

Re: differential
From the earlier post, the Bellett and Florian share the differential with the Piazza with the five link rear suspension, the turbo model, and the 1984-1990 2.0 and 2.3 liter 2WD trucks.
Not sure where that came from. The Bellett & Florian crown & pinion are interchangeable, but not the diffs ...

Yep - the Kiwis have the torsion tube rear; the Aussies have the link rear (Piazzas).
And Aussie Gemini's ain't Isuzu (Salisbury & BorgWarner diffs).
As to skipping - I'd like to know why the earlier G200(W) Piazzas have the I-TEC EFI, but the later 1986 Aussie 4ZC1-t turbo reverted to ECGI style ...
