Are you looking for a brand new set original mirrors or an after market period style?

The originals will fit properly without having to modify or drill new holes - ie: potential rust holes - so I 'd prefer a set of VG+ - new originals. I have a feeling I will need deep pockets for this one.

I should have good 2nd handers and (I think) a set of new boxed ones (GT wing mirrors).
For a good offer, I can check.....

Late Belletts were sprung (as commonly found on all but earliest Florians).

to BELLETTPR10 - G'devenin. For aus delivery at least, '64 to'66 sedans had curved arm mirrors, then '66 1/2 to '68 had straight arms ( both convex glass), though many did'nt get any.(I found them very good in sydney traffic when I was a new driver.) '69 on sprung.

Farmer, thanks for the info on the mirrors, I reckon we'll try to find a small round mirror to put on the exsisting mirror post (no one around here will know the difference) or .... spend the $$$ and buy mirrors ......

HI all
I'm just digging up an old post to show what I've ended up doing with the mirrors ....

The original mirror posts were blasted and chromed $60.00,and ebay bought mirrors $15.00.
Then a machined fitting to mount mirrors to posts (thanks Frank)

So this is what will end up on the Bellett unless I decide to put something else on her but this arrangment is more to the true period style for a sedan.

They're beautiful!

I just pulled a pair of GT mirrors off the green machine and put on a pair of Jap style Stanza mirrors (remakes from Tiawan) and they suit it much better in my opinion. The chrome GT ones just didn't match the lustre of my tear drops duco.

Yeah Mark, they look great! Even a bit more robust than the originals, if anything.
Great to see you're still making progress.
Cheers mate,
Matt.
