Re: 1969 Isuzu Florian deluxe

LHD cars are just cool here coz there're a bit different.

I was chasing a LHD Isuzu Bellel a while back, however the sale fell through. I just thought a car that was primilary remembered for being a JDM vehicle (although it wasn't; and realistically SFA people actually remember it - there were ...

Re: 1969 Isuzu Florian deluxe

Ouch indeed! It would be fun though to send two Florians across the world (or if we drive we could meet up halfway, let's say in Afghanistan?), although I imagine finding a pair of lhd headlights for your model might be impossible... I don't think that one was ever made in lhd form.
(And I ...

Re: 1972 Isuzu Florian

Well, updates... not really. I drive it every 14 days or so but the weather is bad over here this time of year, and I have found out I really don't like driving biggish saloon cars, I'm more of a small hatch-type driver (had a Starlet, replaced by a Sirion and a Simca 1100 before). If all goes well ...

Re: 1972 Isuzu Florian

Cheers - lowering would be nice, if anyone knows how to or what springs and lowering blocks fit... when I fit the spare wings I'll have a think about wing mirrors, they do look nice. The current door mirror is pretty useless!

1972 Isuzu Florian

Now that my Florian has passed it's roadworthiness test, I thought I'd post some pics. I've had it since april 2009 (I think I'm the fourth or fifth owner of probably one of the last Isuzus sold in Holland, they stopped in 1972) but only picked it up from the garage 10 days ago, I had to find brake ...

In Dutch?! I've got this one, in English but with a stamp from a Dutch dealership... what I've got scanned so far can be found here.

Re: Akebono wheel cylinder?

Thanks - good point about the disc thing, I'm trying to collect as much info as possible for the future. I'd love to keep it standard, but discs could solve a lot of parts issues indeed...

Re: Akebono wheel cylinder?

The big difference is the sort of trapezoidal piece that the originals have, the upper part on my pics. The others don't have that extra bit. I have now sourced a set of the right cylinders though!

I should have looked better, sorry! It's the same thing, the angle confused me... bought one, now all I have to do is wait for it to turn up. Thanks guys for the quick responses!

Re: Akebono wheel cylinder?

Mechanic drew me a picture, maybe this helps? I'm not very technical myself, so I'll leave the interpretation of this artwork to you... Diameter of the cylinder itself is 25mm.

Edited because I've deleted the pics...

I'm afraid the Luv brake are quite different - probably because of the difference in lugs etc?
