One of the wheel cylinders is bust, the housing is broken, visited a guy yesterday who owned/owns lots of Isuzus who told me he'd never seen this type on a Florian and sold me cylinders that should fit with some work... mechanic just told me no way, too big in all aspects. Anyone recognise these Akebono things, any tips maybe? They might be related to old Austin items apparently. Don't know the dimensions unfortunately... any help appreciated, this kind of thing comes with the rare old cars I like but it's demotivating as hell.
I do know the bellet rears can be replaced with older BMC wheel cylinders. They have to have the nut on the pipe changed. i would suggest you find a dealer that sells BMC stuff. there should be a few around. Also you may be able to pm IZU069. I he does not know no one will he has a great knowledge base as far as Isuzu is concerned, He has Florians.

Mechanic drew me a picture, maybe this helps? I'm not very technical myself, so I'll leave the interpretation of this artwork to you... Diameter of the cylinder itself is 25mm.

The big difference is the sort of trapezoidal piece that the originals have, the upper part on my pics. The others don't have that extra bit. I have now sourced a set of the right cylinders though!

Glad to hear you have sourced the correct parts, maybe you should consider a disc conversion in the future.
Thanks - good point about the disc thing, I'm trying to collect as much info as possible for the future. I'd love to keep it standard, but discs could solve a lot of parts issues indeed...
I have had issue with my passenger side and it seems to have a leak since I keep bleeding the system and after being park for couple of weeks all fluid is gone and brake is down. So is there any new replacement wheel cylinder that could work in Rear of Bellett GT?? There are no spare parts for this car in state so any help is appreciated.
Hi JDMPlace wecome aboard, you should be able to get your rear wheel cylinders resleeved, we have them done with a stainless steel sleeve, should fix your problem Geoff
