Re: Parcel Trays under the Glovebox

I made mine up by cutting an old biscuit tin (with scissors) , hold in place with a couple of self tappers, and then sealed it with silicon and painted. I then sealed this part to the body with reinforced duct tape after it was bolted in . Works very well. It cannot be see when installed.

I forgot to say that the "bowl overflow" pipes run down to near the "cross member, steering rack ..." and empty onto the ground......(I think maybe (going by a fuzzy original Sale Brochure picture) there was a short length of hose on the bottom of the pipe originally (I maybe wrong...)

You are so lucky as the body looks to be in reasonable condition and the mechanicals are simple.

Re: My unexpected swedish Bellett find.

Great find.....well worth keeping and rejuvenating/restoring. Simple and easy to work on.
I would suggest that you contact the Bellett Club in Finland. Great people and a wealth of Bellett knowledge.
Please keep as informed of your progress. More pics. would be nice also.
Lots of information here ...

PR 91 Welch plugs

PR91 Welch plugs are 1.25" diameter - (must be a carry over from Hillman days! ) not 32mm (very close but not quite!)

Probably have to "make do" with something from an Antique Rubber business.......with a scalpel and good quality rubber cement you would probably surprise yourself with how nice a product you can finish up with.

Re: Parcel Trays under the Glovebox

Probably a local fitted heater with the cable/control operating the water tap. I installed an Australian heater (after-market but to suit a Bellett) in my new '66.5 Bellett sedan soon after I bought it. There was no fan , just a heater core and a tap. The result was beautiful , especially when ...

Re: totally off-topic but an interesting re-build

While off Bellett talk , here is my current Project - 1967 Prince/Nissan Skyline GTB ......currently working towards a "bare
metal " respray. Motor and gearbox have both been rebuilt , upholstery uninstalled but finished , brakes had total renew/rebuild, new radiator ready, heater/airbox ...
