 Car(s): Bellett GT,
   | Sunday 14th May 2011, For some it started out with a chilly family camp-out the night before, around the camp fire with friends sharing race tactics. With previous successful Bellett winner, Glenn in his teardrop sharing his knowledge, Greg was in good company. Others chose to set off early and enjoy the morning sunshine along the way, 3 hour trip from QLD NSW border. As the bellett GT arrived at the Bellett campsite, it stirred interest among the other competitors. Was this an Isuzu force to be reckoned with? IT SURE WAS!! WITH DOMINATING TEARDROPS TAKING SECONDS OFF EACH RACE. Great to see belletts holding their own and eating others eg;TRX v8s and Turbo Nissans. Old virgin Hill Racer Greg traded his thongs and stubbies for regulation race suit and boots.Really looked the part, however last minute pre-race nerves made final pitstops tricky with all in one jumpsuit, but gave us all a good laugh as he made for the nearest tree.I'm sure he was more than happy with his times, ESPECIALLY THE LAST LAP. There were 64 competitors on the day and with good marshalling each car got 4 races with no major misshaps. Here goes with a few photo's ENJOY, regards Gerry[ there was a rumour of a PINK GT running but there was no truth to it] Bellett camp

   | A GREAT series of photos Gerry. Brings back memories of the the Hill Climbs at the old Amaroo Circuit in Sydney and fabulous days out! The Sydney Club had many great days at Amaroo and other circuit over many years. Geoff could tell you all about those days!! It seems you all had a great day and the BELLETT'S showed the way again!! What a loss they were to the Australian car market!

   | FAN - TASTIC!! Cars look so good fellas, & yeah, does stir some memories. Bet there were some looks - people don't expect these little cars to devour their more modern units. Got that flag out & flyin'! Excellent work, & glad you had fun. Cheers, Matt. _________________

   | The track is 968 meters long basicly it's a road up to a gokart track and 1.5 laps of the gokart track which is reasonably tight. The results ranged from 48.86 to 87.35 Glen did a 58.12 mine was a 61.71 which i was happy with. It was my 1st time and the car drove nice but a few more modifications to be done yet that i will adopt from pr91's car the other mods were based on Glenns car and a couple of mods the car had already had. A fresh engine is on the production line also. Glen's help got me my times as we studied the track on saturday arfternoon where to be what gear ect

   | Great effort guy's, to be out and enjoy the, WHAT IS IT ? and then the performance of these little things really make people stand up and take notice. The preparation and presentation of your cars is to be commended, as I have found that this FORUM has bought the community of BELLETT (ISUZU) owners from around the world as a family unit to share and enjoy each others passion for what we have.Regards Geoff.
