Re: "Aunty Mary"
Thanks fellas, good to hear you are working away on yours too Mr Flibbs. You have a year 'till the 2012 Nats!
I don't see a Flo in your list, Oz. (My memory is weak sometimes, I thought you had one?)
Well, if not, remember that I have the spare body. I seem to think you & Paul have lots of bits.
Perhaps "Frankenflorian" is a possibility?
Then we need to enthuse Gricey (in 2 weeks time!) to get his happening.
Dave is bound to be there -
We could have a fleet of Flories in 1012!
Cheers, Matt.

Re: "Aunty Mary"
Oz does have a florian but its more parts than anything else i think (as im eyeing off all the other spares i want!) I did strip a rather used florian in the past and kept as much as i could of it, there are some other florians out there!

Re: "Aunty Mary"
i must say a nice reasonable priced Florian would be a welcome addition to the ever increasing garage.
might just score a buy like Mr FFFlliibbllleeessss. bargain of the century...
the Fiat just may have to go but that is only a fixer upper and flog the girl around the hills.
my Florian is the $200 special from Melbourne in the classic isuzu on facebook. a bit past being a restore, parts only.
Thanks for the offer, Matt.

Re: "Aunty Mary"
Sounds like a proper bargain, Gricey. Maybe you can find a good KB dash pad, though I haven't seen a good one in a while. I can help with an ashtray. But bonnet badge, hmmm, might be a next project for our queensland friend.
I agree, the hardest ingredient is time!
Inta the GT mate, must be nearly finished!
If possible, bring us a photo to Coona. Green, hey? Unusual.
See you soon,
Cheers, Matt.

Gricey,
Just to give the reaction I gave you at Coona to your photo,That's TOO GOOD not to bring to the road.Maybe in time for Merimbula? Could we make a Florian class, instead of "Other Isuzu"? We'll need numbers! OZ? Mr Flibbles? Dave? (We know we got you!) Denny? Third time lucky, Carol? Other random Florian owners?
Bring 'em on!
Cheers, Matt.

Re: "Aunty Mary"
2011? Really? That was my last post about Aunty Mary?
Well, just to update.......
At the request if the Bay to Birdwood people, I put original spec hubbies on for the trip to the 2013 Nationals in Adelaide. She got to hang out with 3 of her kind. 4 Florians in one place! Never seen that before, or since. Here she got to hang out with her NSW mates at Shannons Eastern Creek in 2014. A little appearance at our local Classic Yass show saw her awarded "Best Asian vehicle". I really enjoy driving her, she is reliable, comfortable, roomy and easy to maintain, only needing service items.
Cheers, Matt.

Re: "Aunty Mary"
So yeah, Mary is faithfully travelling the highways, giving us heaps of enjoyment. Here she was at the 2018 Echuca Nationals.
And a couple of weeks later at Classic Yass.
Matt.

Re: "Aunty Mary"
So, it must be time to talk about Aunty Mary again.
Lately I've been driving her around a bit more, because the Subaru expired from old age. I reverse into the carport with 3 other cars in it, and the front end sticks out, because the carport is designed for 2. But it is in the shade. That's ok, until you get a hailstorm. We had said hailstorm back in November, the worst one since we've lived here, and I was away shopping in the Sigma.
So Mary got dints. Righto, not big dints, but dints. So I rang the insurer and pretty soon we're in for a look. Soon after we're in for repairs, and there are a couple of dents in the guards and wiper valance panel thingy, so they will fix it and paint the whole front end. Great news, because as you can see, there is a difference in the colour of the guards to the bonnet.
Picked her up the other day..... What do you know, they painted it 2 different colours! Talk about putting it back like it was!
Not on purpose apparently. They are going to have another try in the new year.
Happy new year!
Matt.
