Re: future plans
is the Vectra 2.2 engine the same basic engine ? It has 140hp and 200nM torque. Would move a street car along pretty well would think. But one would would probably need to re-co a s/h engine.

Re: future plans
2.2 would be fine but for my proposed project i will stay under two litre. You will have 2 choices here early or late
Late you will need throttle assy also as they are fly by wire if you intend to run ecu or swap the throttle body over to run cable. Astra/vectra look like they have a fat short input shaft yet the daewoo looks the same as rodeo
i dont know if the flywheel can be swapped from holden to deawoo as to rodeo either
the inpt shaft on a daewoo is 20.7 from memory and the rodeo is 25.5 i did a little research on this and it looks as if the two clutch plates are interchangable same od same amount of splines ect just a differant id so i can assume this can be overcome. spiggot may have to be changed. In theory daewoo flywheel, rodeo driven plate, rodeo pressure plate and throw out should work.
If i went over 2.0 i have a rolled over v6 rodeo in the holding yard but thats another thread on it's own
Lizzies race car is still in the shed i could try it nothing to loose
only a weekend or two
delco from pulsar i would think it would be a struggle with direct injection antus may be able to confirm.
