Last year we wanted 3 belletts down there but Glens never made it and with Lizzies out of the picture we were hoping to get 2 this year but mine will not make it. I got it back late last week from a fine tune up the front brakes a shagged and with the floods it went into one of our sheds in town on hoist to rip the brakes out but missed the BOAT pun intended
On a brighter note Glens car is now logbooked nb and racing at Bathurst i supose now i can wish him the best now .
while me and my car sulk I have not driven it yet due to throttle linkage set up but i asked mike the guy that is tuning the carbs and he said it goes ok for a 2 litre i said it's only a 1500 he said well it goes real well then .

when is the hillclimb Greg?
and gather is the "wrong" way up conrod to skyline, like normal?
really wanted to get there late last year for the "right" way from mountain straight to skyline, but life got in the way....
and the car was dead.... it ain't now tho, with a bit more HP found, and a bit less weight to drag around!

no last year we ran both ways sunday was up mountain straight to the top. I did ok on saturday runing backwards but mountain straight i was around 6 seconds toooo slow the ol girl ran out of puff It kept up on tight tracks .
It's this weekend they leave tonight I needed a few more weeks.
I hope to take the new car next year.

damn, this weekend doesn't leave me enuf time to get there!
we'll have to work out an event there we can both get too mate, and catch up as well as have some fun.
Bathurst is the very top of my bucket list, so one day i WILL get there!

This time next year it is part of the nsw hill climb championship. Lets set a record most belletts raced at bathurst . I will keep you in the loop.

u bet mate! 1966 had 3 race there, so 4 or more will do it.
definitly keep me info'd and we'll give it a big crack. will be awesome!
