I really like it. Really do.

Re: Crack open the cookie jar
Can't rush these things, still plenty of time.
Re: Crack open the cookie jar
is less than 15k from my place, but is an un-known car to myself and the club down here.
it had been stored for 20 or more years, the gentleman who owns it now has done alot of resto work on it over a few years, and now wants to move it on.
he has had a few calls from people wanting it, but unfortunately they seem to think they can talk him out of it for far less than it's really worth.....
including the nice amount of spares that come with it (brand new tailights amongst it all), and 4 nice GT hubcaps.
all i'll say is that the owner knows what other GT's have sold for, and while he wants to genuinely sell it, the starting price of $9.5k is there for a reason guys.... coz that's where the bidding STARTS.... so if you're interested in it, think about that and do yourself and the owner a favour by not wasting his time with offers that haven't bought nice GT's for years.
IMHO, it's very fairly priced at a $9.5k starting point, and could go for anything up to $13 or $14k, coz it's worth every cent of that with the condition it's in and what other GT's have sold for.
cheers.

Re: Crack open the cookie jar
GT's are getting hard to get in anyone's money
but an un-restored original (except for mechanicals) is even harder to find
in my book its actually better than a restored car by a long shot.....
but i can also say i would be looking for a new garage with bed attached if i even considered bidding on it
good luck to anyone giving it a go, remember to give it your best shot first up cause you may not get a 2nd go!

Re: Crack open the cookie jar
Hope he gets a good price for it and I'm glad he knows what it's worth. People need to get it straight that if they want one of these cars they need to either have the cash for a good car or buy a cheap resto car and then spend plenty more. If someone expects to talk this seller down and really thinks they should get it for less they need to start looking for different types of cars cause their full of it.

Greg,
I believe one of our Guys, Garry Butcher is going to have a go, I will check and let you know, Garry wants a driveable car along with some work to do, this car looks ideal.
Dave.
