69 Florian

Post by OzLuvTrucker »

A soon to be member from Newcastle called in today to purchase some parts, he was bought along his recently acquired 69 Florian. It gave me a good chance to see what parts would interchange with my collection of Chev Luv/Kb Isuzu parts.

real early 70 or 71 series have some common bits but that's about it really

once Gemini running gear came in, they changed quite a bit.

not that I am any expert....

just 2C worth

Doors and glass, mainly I guess!

I joined a US Chev Luv forum just to show them my Florian; most if not all had never seen one and didn't know of the Florian's existence. One guy asked me to source some of the lights that go around the controls as apparently the LUVs didn't have them... I suggested it would be easier to find a piece of hay in a giant stack of needles coz they're not real think on the ground!!!

Hope that one sees the road again soon!

Cheers

The car looks pretty nice - straigt & no obvious rust. Great to see another one. I wonder if he will paint it a colour?

So, do you have a Newcastle over there or is it NSW? (Long haul!)

Screen is the same all the way to '80, but yeah, even the early ones have plenty of differences - a bit like Belletts & Wasps!

Hope we see it again,
Cheers, Matt.
