Another Dutch Isuzu owner

Post by michiel »

Hi all, my name is Michiel from Amsterdam and I have bought a 1972 Florian last week. It was supposed to go to a UK collector, but he still hadn't picked it up due to health problems, I stepped in to offer some help and now I own it...
Somehow old Japanese cars fascinate me, I've owned a 1969 Corolla Sprinter in the past and I hope to drive my Isuzu a lot, after I (or a garage mechanic more probably...) fix it up - it's been standing for a few years. I'll try to post something about the car soon in the appropriate section and you might see some 'parts wanted' ads appear, but for now here's a pic and a link to my flickr-account which is filled with assorted car pics, brochure scans etc.

And that's it for now. Almost forgot: great forum! I know it's no Bellett but there's no Florian forum anywhere, or is there?

That is awesome dude!

I keep trying to convince my wife that she needs a Florian... Unsuccessfully though.

Nice to see someone saving a florian. Not many left in Aus, sadly. There used to be quite a few around. Handy that many parts are the same as Chev Luv. Dick (username) will probably be able to supply parts for you locally.
Have fun, Matt.

Thanks guys - I have found period pics of Bellels and Belletts in Holland but no Florians yet... wonder how many were sold here.

Dick has been of help already, but the parts I really need (front wings) are sadly unavailable here. Oh well, there's always Finland/USA/Australia and indeed the LUV connection!
