Shucks guys....

While this is not a Bellett Car Club of Victoria event (I'm still getting around to joining...), Brett Wild and Steve Thompson from Victoria re-booted the Nationals 4 years ago and organised the last three.

Without Brett's input and help into the Adelaide event, it would have been a shambles!

There was also a major degree of arse in securing Ike Treloar (raced a Bellett with Colin Bond at Bathurst 1965 and 1966!) for the weekend and he sent ME a thank you card. I'm supposed to be sending HIM a thank you card!

I think it was a good weekend all 'round, we were lucky with the weather and the Bay to Birdwood organisers were so accommodating in letting us have our own special section.

That, folks, was a once-in-a-lifetime situation. Next Bay to Birdwood we'll be with the plebs in their lowly Mustangs and MGs!

I should probably do all this as some kind of announcement on the forum in some section, but there's just not enough hours in the day... so I'll get there soon.

But in case I don't, like what Bemboka bloke said, a BIG thanks to my wife Sarah who's organisational skills on the barbie meant that she was able to co-ordinate the cooking of the meat for an epic 60-something people, as well as Gary's gluten-free snags!

SHE'S A MACHINE!

Thanks again. Photos to come. Sad to see everyone go!
