As per my introduction earlier today, a few pictures of toys to keep me amused whilst chasing something else..
My current transport as a replica, hence the desire for a "real" car.
But not a bad replica so it will have to do - lol
And then my sporting toy racing with my youngest son - great clean fun!
WA National titles last Christmas on the Swan and on our way to second overall, just not quite enough - next time!
Enjoy

Re: Slowy's toys
Nice toys Slowy. Great to see you into sport with your son, if we can share our fun with the family we make lifelong memories.
Thanks for showing,
Matt.

Re: Slowy's toys
Very tidy Cobra
A mate of mine (Kieth Fackrel - KCF Rallysport/Cobra Shop QLD) builds them for his clients.
I've even had the privilege of driving a couple of them into the Brisbane Street Machine Show years ago when he used to have a trade stand there.
Love the action shot on the water too! Looks like you're getting a few knots up too

Re: Slowy's toys
Thanks Stickman.
The colour is not everyone choice but it was the "Boss's" choice and hence the key to the permission to build the car.
Funny how the lady folk tend to be the house CFO's - lol
Anyway years ago I complained about boat rebuilding in the winter cold in our under roofline carport.
This was my reason for bricking in and redeveloping a large garage to the home, but in reality I had a long term game plan and the garage was where the cobra was built. I have even since also done some boat rebuilding too in the garage ha ha!
As to the race yacht, this shape is on the whole the fastest across the fleet, I took out 6 fastest speeds out of our 9 heats last Christmas. Fastest last Christmas was about 22 knots but I have been clocked at 25 knots ala just under 50 kph.
Called a Javelin skiff, the down wind rides make for exciting and photogenic moments in a breeze as you can see.

Re: Slowy's toys
That may not seen very fast to some people but having sailed on a neighbors A class race cat' years ago I know that is FLYING for a skiff.
That a lot of wind in the hair and sea spray in the face......... but damn that would be fun

Re: Slowy's toys
Right there, with you on that one Stickdate….ton of fun. Sometimes I think car races should start like yacht races, with everyone milling round in circles trying to time it so you hit the start line at max just as the flag drops.
Good stuff Steve.
