Dean, number is 4110. Normal one is 4111.
Early version diff's are 379 for a 4.1 and 349 for 3.7. I want a 4110 tho.
I'll check my spare ones I have at my brothers place for you as soonn as I have a chance, may be a couple of weeks before I can get there though.

Numbers are stamped into the vertical rib under the fill plug.

Dean. Yesterday i dropped diff off to the guy for a check over. Will take 2 weeks. So i have two weeks to get this one out. I discovered that the x member can be removed from the diff without removing the yoke. You have to unbolt the diff of course then wiggle the x member at an angle and it comes off. I hope i can do that under the car to avoid removing several brake lines.

Some parts available
I've bought a bit of gear off these guys over the years.
This is where I got Donkeys drivers door weather shield from..... they had 2 listed at the time (1 clear, 1 green tint) so I ordered both but they could only find the clear one in the warehouse (been on Donkey ever since)

I got my reco'd diff back today. (Thanks Dean) It has the numbers on the casting as you suggested Brett. Slightly different sequence. You can see that the late model diff is totally different in the casting. The reco guy said he in his Bellett search, there are four different ratios listed. Obviously not in Oz though.

For the info of others, he got maybe the last of the carrier bearings available. The bearing is wider than any other that might fit. That would required spacers to be made etc. Driveshaft seals are not available.

Its weird, the differences. Change for change sake or are they improvements? The late diff has the drain on the rear. Obscured by the leaf spring so thats a backward step!
