Guys, I found this picture online recently (no apparent history attached), not sure where it is:

Made me wonder if anyone knew what other countries Bellett's were officially marketed in, and what numbers? I guess Australia would have been the biggest export market outside of Japan, as was the case with most Japanese brands before the early 1970's.
Anyone know?
Cheers,
Duane

Hi,
This Bellett 1500 67-68 is from Finland. We got 6400 Bellett's here in 1964-1970 and about 300 Florian's 1969-1970.
So Finland was the second largest export country after Australia. In Europe Isuzu's was sold for sure in Sweden 1965-66,
Greece and Netherlands. The Swedish importer sold only small number of Bellett's ( 1500 De luxe 4-door ) before it was
out of money... Remaining cars was sold to Finland and these cars were the only de luxe models which we had.

Hi,
The number of 6400 Finnish Bellett is quite exact. Our club members filmed Finnish importer car cards few years ago.
There was one card for each imported car from 1965-1969 with chassis & engine numbers...
Only 1970 cards were missing.
1964 we got only few test cars and number of 1970.s cars are from the registeration officials.
All cars were 1500 4D Standard or 1500 Super as we called 1969 and afterwards sold 81 hp models.
EXEPT - those Swedish " left owers " ( 1500 4D deluxe -66 )
- 10 pcs 1500 4D Sport -67,all went for rallying
- 12 pcs 1600 2D Sport -69, 1600 OHV
- 5? pcs 1600 2D Sport -70, 1600 SOHC
- 3 pcs 1600 GT -67, all went for rallying
- 11 pcs 1600 GT -69, 1600 OHV, most of them went for rallying
- 3 pcs 1600 GT -70, 1600 SOHC, all of them went for rallying with 1.6 DOHC engines
We didn't get GTR's, only 3 pcs 1.6 DOHC engines and later was build 2 DOHC-engines more from spare parts.
All the cars have steering wheel in the right side = LHD of course !!!!
