Hello all......and Dave

Post by Zeus440 »

Hello all,
Im a friend of Dave's and a newly converted Bellett fan. Most of my cars are of the Chrysler persuasion with the exception of a Cortina. My partner really gets into the car scene aswell and Is the reason I logged on, after seeing Dave and the boys on a cruise she's wanting to add a Bellett to the stable so let me know if anyone has anything for sale.

Thanks

Zeus

I'll bring it out and show you one day, I'm here in Adelaide with you guys :)

My grandfather bought it at a repo auction in 1963 and it's been in the family ever since, so almost a one owner car!

Welcome Zeus440

It's good to hear that we another Bellett lover. Chyslers are great too :P

My brother rolled one in the early seventies and the only straight panel we could save was the boot lid.

It was made of very good quality steel and since then it has donated panel steel for:

an HQ/HX/HZ/WB Holden ute hybrid restoration
an HJ Holden V8 Premier
an SS Torana
a Triumph Stag
and most importantly of all - the RHS B pillar of a 1968 Bellett :D

If it wasn't for Valiants there wouldn't be all these examples of fine automotive engineering excellence still on the road

Ooh, I forgot to mention that a very small part of the steel found it way into the lower front guard of a Morriss Marina two door fast back coupe........
