Bellett Nationals: Who to contact.

Post by PR91 »

hi all.
i've been hearing of late that some who wish to attend the Nats have been contacting people who ARE NOT those responsible for the organising and running of the event/s and expressing interest in attending thinking that the Nats is being run by one 'club' or another... please remember that the Bellett Nationals is NOT run by any club,
it never has been...
nor will it ever be.
this is simply due to the fact that to attend an event put on by a proper club you must first be a member of said club, and many Bellett people aren't involved with Bellett clubs as such, meaning they would be instantly excluded and that's something none of us want.
also, as those who have been to previous Nats will know, the event has alot of activites and things going on, not the least of which is the catering to make sure we're all fed, and without accurate numbers known of those attending this can't be done..., so if someone decides to go along and doesn't follow the proper process to do so then people are left very disappointed come dinner time, amoung other things....
could everyone please remember this and direct any and all enquiries about the Nats to the organisers ONLY and nowhere else as they are the ones who authorise any such requests from anyone.
if anyone needs any further info on this subject please don't hesitate to contact myself.
cheers Brett.

bold'ed, italic'ed, and underlined just to make sure these things are understood...
thank you.

Hi Brett
We have ous club (CjCC) to put in the magazine mainly to cover for cars that are on club rego, as most of the Belletts that go to nationals are members of this club, and non Belletters are not interested.
Thanks Geoff

that's fair enuf geoff, and it's a good idea to cover your bases like that.
this is about clubs advertising the Bellett Nationals as "their" club's own event directly to their members, not just listing it in their calendar for reasons as you mention, and i'm trying to remind everyone that these things are not correct.
cheers.

OK silly question, the subject is 'who to contact' yet there are no names or contact details? Or is Brett sole contact ??

I haven't read through all the pages here so perhaps this is not the place to find out 'who to contact' ?

Just to register myself as a definate now, having booked the accomodation.

I will be travelling there on the friday and returning monday. Is there still a 'convoy' ?

Sadly, probably not in a Bellett at this stage.

thanks geoff.
sorry glenn, my oversight!!

i'm hoping to put together a melbourne departing convoy together, leaving thursday and returning tuesday tho....
reason is that alot of people arrive from early friday, and as things build up, it's good to be there early and all set to go, which is important when you have ALOT to do there!
returning tuesday as gary and monnica have some 'special' plans for monday's activites too, ala-ish monday in coonabarabran.

SURELY someone can FIND a Bellett for Glenn?? Or lend him one to help get their fleet to the nats?

Or you could be BOLD & go the NZ GT - Could be a bargain!

All good fun, glad to hear you're in. It will be great to meet you.

Thanks Matt.

I almost found a Bellett yesterday. Almost, as in the seller was unable to complete the deal for personal reasons I won't mention here.

Nup.

Dave luvs it like.........a lot.
....like.....a teenager and his first girl.
.....like.......tender anatomical bits.
.....like........a BIG lot.

It's like as if you built it to be perfect, - for him.

But I reckon it will be nice to sit in it again.
