leadfoot liz

Post by gt orphanage »

Hi to the bellet family :) Some bellett people are already aware of this but for those that are further away Liz was involved in a motor racing accident today at noosa. she is in nambour hospital tonight and if her condition remains as it is now she will stay there. if not they will move her on to brisbane. Her conditions are not life threatening but she has some internal bleeding and her hip has 2 fractures and broken bone in her foot they tell us she will remain in hospital for 6 weeks.
The car is a total write off however she informed me that i had until march to build another as she will be racing at bathurst in march. At least it's good to see she still has fight in her. If it was not for the roll cage it would have been a lot worse.
Thanks for the well wishes today as word got out.
Greg & liz

Oh Greg, that is sad to read. We are so glad that it wasn't worse, but it sounds like there is some healing to be done. Tracy & I will be praying for her complete recovery, and for easing of the pain she must be in.
Its good that she has that good attitude, and has youth and fitness on her side.
Thanks for letting us know, and remember to take care of you too. It would be a nasty shock.

Our love, Matt Tracy & the kids.

Liz is in good spirits tonight and it looks as she will stay in nambour hospital she had a few blood clots that are clearing. She is reading the forum on her i phone but it was going flat :) she has a charger now so she may make contact soon. We had a look at a series of photos taken when it happened and she put up a good fight. The was changes to the barrier today to make it safer but another car has been destroyed since but the driver was ok. Members of the cjcc have had a update on Liz and would have seen a couple of photo's of the car. Liz is not offended by these however there is the set of photo's of the crash she said she is not ready to see yet :D she will look at them at a later date if we can leave that link off for now would be good thanks.
