Random Roman Red Bellett surfaces in SA...sort of.

Post by dave »

Hey guys,

Bruno emailed me pics of a random Roman Red Bellett he spied, numberplateless, in someone's driveway near his house!

We speculated it was 67Bell's car out of NSW already, but last post he put up was all "if/when" etc, so it seemed unlikely it had all come together so soon.

Then I noticed the rego sticker and Ulysses Club sticker on the back window and realised it was James' car out of NSW (I don't know his surname; spoke to him at Merimbula Nationals though) that was for sale in Just Cars until recently. It was on NSW club rego and the plates had to be removed before it was sold, so that explains it's platelessness.

Here it was at the 2012 Nationals.

Bruno photographed the car and left a note on their window to urge them to join Bellett.net, so that's good. Now we've got no less than four roadgoing Roman Red Belletts in SA!!! That's a LOT!

Hopefully we see it out and cruising ASAP!

Cheers,

Dave

We need a pic of them all together.
Do not think that Victoria could match that (I have got one Roman Red ,that would be a start )

Hey guys, I went past again yesterday..... and there was a young chap of islander appearance in the front yard. I introduced myself as the "Bellett stalker" who left the note. Erwin, his name, and very happy to meet me and talk Belletts. Turns out his father bought it off the internet without seeing it in the flesh and was very disappointed at the roughness of the body. So he's now at a cross roads if he will rego, or sell !!

Erwin popped the bonnet and started it. Engine bay original, clean as, and runs like a true Bellett, clockwork :D Looks like no obvious boby rust and has an immaculate interior.

I let him know if his dad wants to sell, we are out there. Also encouraged him to get on to Bellett.net for a look.

On another note Oz, I had a surprise call from Erwin today. His dad is still in Queensland and not real well, and was more interested in selling Roman Red. Although I have interst, buying Red is a little out of my legue financially at the moment, as need to comit to something else. JUST ASK LIZ :P
I asked what price, said he wanted to recoup the price of getting it shipped down and the reg change over etc.....$3,600

Told him the fact was it would possibly go for $2,000 to $2,500 at the most 3k.

Said I'de put it out there for him, so yep, it's out there. Any bids? I have contact details.
