Hi everyone
I thought I'd post these pics up to show you that my track car is still under way, albeit about 3 years behind schedule. I spent a busy days over Easter painting the body shell, having done all the removable panels a few years back.
James dropped in on a few days just to make sure that work was progressing and to provide moral support. He thought I should paint the middle of the bonnet white but I forgive him for that suggestion as it is typical of a young Launcestonian rev-head. Talking of which he took me for a blast in Asroc. That beast has serious grunt and really flies !!!

Nice work, maybe too nice for the track now ? My 1st Bellett was blue also and it reminds me of all the work to repaint a car......

Th days of shitty looking race cars are long gone, which is a good thing. Most now would put a lot of show cars to shame.Glenn wrote:Nice work, maybe too nice for the track now ? My 1st Bellett was blue also and it reminds me of all the work to repaint a car......
Looks good Jonesy. Now keep going.

My meaning is he might change his mind and make it a street car.....PR91 wrote:Th days of shitty looking race cars are long gone, which is a good thing. Re: Track car update
hi all
I managed to grab a few days between Christmas and New Year. James came out to lend a hand, you will see him in a starring role, holding a socket and looking knowledgeable about all things to do with Bellett Sedans ..... and now....... after 4 years she's back on 4 wheels. Piccies below but not necessarily in chronological order.
The plan is that over the next few months the front discs, shockers, rear leaf rear brakes and engine/gearbox go in along with related bits and pieces. I've finally (almost ) got my garage finished at home so can then bring it out of the family garage down south so it is easily at hand to make progress on the interior and on shrinking the new radiator. By the way, Have any Gt owners out there in forum land got a spare Gt gearbox lying around? PM me if you have and we can arrive at a price.
