WILLYS MOTORS

Post by Glenn »

A bit of history here.... this a receipt i think, for the purchase of a car from Willys Motors in VIC Sept 1967

Unfortunately the contents are now lost but thought it might be of some interest.

Willys Motors sold Belletts of course.

Its a bit hard to read but post marked 2nd Sept 1967

That'd be about rite Glenn.
Canopus Motors were the first Victorian distributors, and they were a division of LNC Industries who also did VW's, Fiat's, Mitsubishi's and things. Canopies wound out in March or April 67 when LNC started doing local assembly of VW's, and that's when Willy's took over Isuzu and Mitsubishi here.

Thanks Brett

It came in a Bellett I bought at some time in the past. I thought i had the receipt but appears to be either lost or in other 'stuff'

We are cleaning up ready to move into the new place which is due to be completed today in fact, although no keys for another week. Its amazing the 'crap' one keeps over the years.......
