Early Gearbox and Transmission

Post by Asroc66 »

Hi Guys
I have been going through my stash of parts and found a real early model 4 speed floor shift gearbox
It has the dual humps for both types of starter motors

Also have auto box ' Borg Warner' with all para finales like floor shifter box, linkages, torque converter etc

Was wondering if any of the 'purists' amongst us would be interested.
I assume it is from an early Teardrop.
If so then drop me a PM
Cheers
J

Almost....
I'd have taken them Brett (or 1 at least) even happily paid something for them, arranged a courier for pick up too, but as you were busy moving sheds you never had the time to mess around organizing a pallet for them/it to be strapped to.
That's the problem with me being so far away from the big warehouse in Melbourne I guess

James, I would have been keen for an early box as a spare for Donkey but freight from Tasmania to Brisbane is a killer :|

Not a dig at you by the way either Brett as I understood the extenuating circumstances at the time.
Just saying there was at least 1 taker to the offer that's all :)

True that
Freight is a killer
We ship all out best produce off the island, import all the crap from overseas and get charged for the privelage
Never could work that one out ( well except for greed )

If anyone coming for a tour to Tassie then perhaps could take one or both over 'The Ditch'

Be a shame to use then as boat anchors

Hey mate, though I have some of each, I'd add them if possible because someone is going to want them someday. I will be back to Tas sometime, so better make it in a van!
Cheers, Matt.
