Isuzu Wasp spotted in "Return Home" 1990 movie

One of my Street Machine mates pointed out an Isuzu Wasp at the 2:15 mark of this forgotton Aussie film, Return Home.

It stars Dennis Coard who was previously in Home and Away, Frankie J Holden and a new kid called Ben Mendelsohn.

The Isuzu Wasp is sitting in a servo; the movie was made in Adelaide and the servo was quite close to where I grew up! For the Adelaideans, it's in Henley Beach South. I think it's currently a Liberty and it spent some time as a "Mick Scorpos Petrol Discount King" outlet.

The car is definitely a Wasp; has the correct headlight surrounds and grille, plus it's a style-side!

I don't know what became of that car; it's possible that it's pa_man's car prior to a respray, but he will have to verify if he's got any evidence of it ever being dark green!

I didn't think I'd seen this on the Internet Movie Car Database, so I went to add it and it's already there!

Ben Mendelsohn has gone on to win 8 film industry awards plus a string of nominations.
His best I think was for his role in The Netflix series Bloodline.

I watched this movie quite a while ago, loved seeing the suburbs of adelaide how they once were! I did spot the wasp but couldnt remember what the movie was called!

Its awesome because dark green is the best colour a Wasp can wear.
